The interesting thing about this is that the subject is decidedly uninteresting. The subjects for each week are general, mundane household objects. So that's the first hurdle. Secondly, there is to be no post processing of the image, it has to be SOOC (straight out of camera) This is going to force those of us taking part to pay particular attention to all aspects of the shot, including the composition.
So this is my image for week 1 "Fork You" this image has had absolutely no post production at all and is as it was recorded on the memory card of the camera
Here are the links to the other guys taking part in the project. All worth a look, and if you're on twitter a follow. It's well worth taking a look between blogs too because the chances are that over the coming weeks there will be a high amount of banter flying around too. :-)

Very nice SooC image Pete. Love the reflection. What are you shooting it on? Also, are you (and everyone else for that matter) shooting JPG or RAW and exporting it just as is? You know, since JPG does it's own little corrections and RAW tends to look more flat. For my first week, I did RAW, but meant to do JPG.
ReplyDeleteI'll post a setup shot and explanation soon. I shot RAW then exported it from LR into Flickr, so there will be a slight tweak due to their algorithms. I can link to the original RAW file in dropbox if you'd like :-)
DeleteFeel the same as Chris...the reflection is my favorite part. Very nicely done! (I don't want to post mine now, because this is really good. )
ReplyDeleteDon't be a wussy now! Believe me, I took a totally different direction than this.
DeleteDude, there will be weeks when I can't find my arse with both hands and a map....let alone post anything of quality photography wise lol. All just a bit of fun :-)
